About your trip

Learn the art of flamenco in Granada, cook up a storm in Seville and become a surfing pro in Tarifa on this all-encompassing Spanish adventure.

Known for the stunning Alhambra, unrivaled tapas and flamenco – your time in Granada will see you mastering flamenco steps within one of the city’s most historic schools and tapas-bar-hopping your way through its very best foodie spots. In Seville, you’ll cycle down sun-baked streets past opulent Moorish architecture and learn to cook iconic Spanish dishes. And how could we end this adventure anywhere but the coast? Kick back in the Moroccan-style surf town of Tarifa, and get ready for surf lessons and whale watching on your very own private wildlife cruise.

Over the course of eight days, you’ll unlock the heart and soul of Andalucía’s heritage through immersive experiences led by local experts. And you’ll do it all with a group of people just like you.

Our Favorite Hotels

Here's a taste of the hotels we sometimes use on this adventure. The hotels you'll stay in for your departure will be shared with you one month before you go.

Hotel Reina Cristina

Occupying an ornate former residence where poet Federico García Lorca spent his final days, this old-world hotel is just a stone’s throw from Granada’s grand cathedral. The elegant interiors are brimming with classical character, with Andalucían furnishings and original marble floors.

Abba Sevilla Hotel

Overlooking a bustling square in Seville’s historic centre, Abba Sevilla is a polished, modern hotel full of understated elegance. Cool off in the outdoor plunge pool and soak up the skyline views from the rooftop bar and terrace, particularly atmospheric at sunset.

NH Hotel, Málaga

Cool and contemporary, the riverside NH Málaga is in a prime location within walking distance of the beach. There’s a laid-back Mediterranean restaurant and a gorgeous rooftop pool and terrace, ideal for unwinding with a crisp glass of cava and a balmy sea breeze.

Important Notes

Which airport do I need to fly in and out of? Plus airport code

Fly in and out of Málaga Airport (AGP).

What time should my flight arrive (in time for the welcome meeting)?

There will be two group transfers on Day 1 from Málaga Airport to Granada. These will leave at 12 pm and 2:30 pm, so please ensure your flight arrives in plenty of time.

What time should my flight depart on the last day?

There are no planned activities on Day 8, so you can depart at your own leisure after breakfast.

Are airport transfers included?

If you arrive on Day 1 of your adventure, or you book pre-tour accommodation with us, your airport arrival transfer will be included. If you book alternative pre-tour accommodation or are arriving by another mode of transport you must arrange your own arrival transfer.

Arrival transfers are private to Flash Pack and will be in groups depending on flight times. Sometimes this means waiting in the airport for a short while until other flights have arrived.

We don’t offer a departure transfer as Flashpackers leave at different times of the day and many stay for extra nights. However, your Pack Leader will offer you support with finding a local taxi.

Do I need a visa?

You do not normally need a visa if you’re visiting as a tourist from the UK, USA, Australia or Canada. Please check with your local consulate/embassy if the country you are travelling from requires a visa.

From 2024, ETIAS travel authorization will be an entry requirement for visa-exempt nationals travelling to European countries https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias/what-etias_en.

We recommend that you have at least six months validity remaining on your passport and can show a return ticket.

What sort of luggage should I bring?

It’s worth noting that Granada and Seville are cities with ancient origins and feature narrow streets, which may restrict the minibus from accessing certain areas. As a result, you may need to walk a short distance with your luggage – typically less than 10 minutes – to reach your hotel.

Are tips included?

Tips are not included in this adventure. Your Pack Leader can advise on suitable amounts to tip local activity guides or services where appropriate, and we will provide a suggested tipping budget closer to your departure date. Please note that all tipping is optional and will depend on what you feel comfortable with.

Will this itinerary change?

Please be aware that the itinerary, activities and hotels are subject to change. These changes can happen with little notice due to availability, poor weather, seasonal changes, or other circumstances beyond our control – but we’ll always do our best to ensure it has little impact on your experience. From time to time, we may also make changes to your itinerary to try out new ideas and keep things fresh and exciting.

What are the Covid-19 requirements for visiting Spain?

Due to the changeable nature of Covid-19 entry requirements, we strongly advise Flashpackers to consult the travel advice issued by your local consular services well in advance of your departure date. Some countries do still require travelers to comply with pre-arrival testing and/or vaccination requirements. Links to the key consular services can be found on our Safety page.
